The C&WC laid tracks through the town in 1885. The map below pinpoints Owings in Laurens County.
The C&WC arrived into Owings as the Greenville and Laurens. The following illustrates the layout of Owings in 1927 (with revisions in 1964). The revision did not have the depot labeled as such, but is marked with the arrow.
